I would not reformat just yet... Try a good repair first:

Plug in the Capture device and Disable it in the Device Manager (Sound and Video Game Controllers)

Unplug it and put it aside till later.

Turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc. and insert your Roxio Disc (download version - run Install)

Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)

When you reach the screen where
Repair
is offered, choose that!

When the Repair competes, you will have to reapply the SP1.1 for game capture.

Then turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

See what that does first ;)

its an Xbox 360, I use HDMI.

i dont know what has changed but i am going to try and reformat again.

the onlything that has changed is im using a monitor instead of a tv (both had HDMI) but then again it worked for alittle bit because i got some gameplay footage from it

ok, so i did reformat and updated everything and it still does the screen glitch. When i look at the cpu and ram usage its 80% cpu and 50% ram when it is flipping out. do u have any other ideas that i could try. BTW it did work at one time and it worked for a week then it just started flipping out

What has changed on the PC since it worked?

Explain how your connected or post a pic?

Xbox or Playstation?

Rollback to a point prior to the AVG scan...

I haven't used AVG but I suspect it is pouncing something within the Registry. But then I have no idea what "glitches out" would possibly mean in English

In anycase see if that works. If it does, then find out how you can get AVG to leave all Roxio entries alone -_-
