Crash

savagedan

Question

While livestreaming with the software livestream after a little while it will eventually crash. And by that I mean the whole software. It is really frustrating that this keeps happening and there is no other way to livestream because it wont pick up the gameplay while trying to use screen capture on xsplit. Any ideas?

Your "specs" tell us little of nothing  Maybe you could click Win-Pause and copy System???

Since it runs for a while before crashing, it makes your system suspect...

An easy 'fix' to try would be to do a Proper Repair. Follow these steps exactly:

Plug in the Capture device and Disable it in the Device Manager (Sound and Video Game Controllers)

Unplug it and put it aside till later.

Turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc. and insert your Roxio Disc (download version - run Install)

Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)

When you reach the screen where
Repair
is offered, choose that!

When the Repair competes, you will have to reapply the SP1.1 for game capture.

Then turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

First I should say that I'm not really a tech guy. First off, it's a good idea to post your pc specs. I had frequent crashing when I started using the software when streaming to twitch. I reinstalled, got the update but it would constantly drop the the stream and freeze up in less than an hour. Basically what solved it for me was not to have my twitch stream running while I was streaming. I usually monitor my stream at the twitch dashboard. After I clicked the hide video button I the program stopped crashing. Don't know why. Someone out there probably does.

You can also open up a support ticket with roxio I suppose. Good luck.
