No Effects Or Transitions In Videowave

jeph

Question

There are no video effects or transitions displaying in Videowave dropdown boxes. Interestingly, if I open an old project, I can copy transitions and paste into new project. I can also copy whole segments with desired effects from the Storyline of previous projects, paste them into new projects and "replace panel". But this takes way too much time and there is limited control.

I have uninstalled and re-installed both discs ("Roxio Creator" & an add-on I purchased called - "Video Effects (Enhance and Style)" several times. Sometimes the effects reappear but after a few days they are gone again.

Windows 7 64-bit

Do you have Creator 2010, or do you have Easy Media Creator 10? There is a big difference. Creator 2010 does work in Windows 7, but Easy Media Creator 10 does not. Even though it may work sometimes, in the long run, it will fail.

I believe that the add-on that you purchased is for Creator 2010, and if you do in fact, have Creator 2010, the software should work for you.

Yes, the disc says "Roxio Creator 2010" and the program did work for two years. A few months ago it just stopped showing the transitions and effects. I couldn't tie it to any changes I'd made.

Also, the "Media Selector" displays differently. Icons are spread out so I have to scroll further. And the icons sometimes don't display properly. These are not the major issues though.

So to review, in the right hand section of the Videowave window - nothing shows up under "Effect Selector", "Media Selector" works but has some issues, and "Settings" works fine.

I'd like to try to fix the problems but, as a last resort, I would be open to just updating to Roxio 2012. Do you think problems would linger with an update or would it likely fix these issues?

Thanks, grandpabruce
