Sending Audio To A Separate File

I have Creator 2012 Pro. I do a lot of home videos and would like the option to send just the audio file from the recorded video to a separate audio file in an MP4 or WAV or other format. I'm told that Creator 2012 cannot do this, but the NXT software now has that functonability. Can anyone confirm this?

I don't know where you got your information but it is wrong. C2012 can easily extract the audio from a video file residing on to hard drives.

 

Simply select the Media Selector then navigate to the file from which you want to extract the audio, right click the file and then select "Extract Audio" from the drop-down menu. The file will be extracted to a wav file.

 

This feature has been part of Roxio for a long time.
