Go here, and read the 1st paragraph :

http://corel.force.c...=en&popup=false

I'm just trying to clarify the statement:

So, it plays the voice chat audio with everything else on the preview as you are recording it, but the actual recorded file does not have the voice?

Yes, or no, and if no, clarify.

If that is the case, I can only assume that it was made as such intentionally, because the device clearly reads the data since it is played out of the computer in the preview.

I could have sworn the original game capture recorded xbl voice/party/in game/chat...

In fact, I can't see WHY it doesn't unless it was designed not too.

Assuming they did the simpliest method possible, the audio and video from the console, instead of routed through the HDMI/component cables directly to the TV where it's displayed, is instead routed through the game capture pro device, where it is recorded, THEN routed to the USB and the TV.

Seeing as how the voice chat is normally signaled through the audio cables anyways, it SHOULD get recorded.

No that is fine but my answer will be necessarly vague...

We are just users like yourself and have no inside info on what Roxio is doing

You and I know this should have been an Oh Sh-t moment for Roxio and created a flurry of activity to fix it!!!

But things don't always go that way in business :(

"... no" to WHAT?

The answer is Yes or No depending on what you are specifically asking... No broad brush questions allowed

I don't mean to be evasive but there are 2 possible answers and I gave them in in Post #4.

What makes you think EveryOne has some compelling need to capture thier own voice  But it sure would be nice to have the option ;)

I guess I need to revise my question in that case.

Is there any plans to fix the fact you cannot record audio of you and your Xbox LIVE party, whilst 'capturing'?

Hope that's not too broad. ;)

So the answer is just.... no. Is that correct?

Is there any elaboration on that? i.e will it be fixed? Why would someone want to buy a piece of hardware like Game Capture HD Pro unless they're going to be able to record their gameplay and audio?

From my personal experience, it will pick up voices of other players/friends; but, will not pick up your own voice - which sucks. From personal experience: I was in a party with a friend and it would pick up his voice as well as other players in a free roam session of Red Dead Redemption. So far, Red Dead Redemption is the only game that I've really captured. Discovering the issue of the Roxio not being able to pick up my voice kind of let me down to the point where I don't really use it anymore. Major bummer! :(

Kind of wish I would have done more research on this product before purchasing it. Kind of seems like a "DUH!" mistake by Roxio. Why would you create a product like this, knowing full and well what people intend on doing with it, and not let said product capture the user's voice?! (And, yes, it was kind of a "DUH!" mistake by me for not further researching this product before I bought it - I know!)

All together, minus this (what I think is a major) issue, the Roxio Game Capture HD Pro is a great product. Hopefully Roxio will come out with some update to fix this, or something.

Hope that helps!
