I want to take music from my Christmas cd collection and put it onto a flash drive for play on my Car Audio system. My car Audio System is set up to play from a usb drive. Please help me. I have Roxio Creator 2012.

Just to clarify, your collection is now on audio cd? Go to the Music/Audio tab and select either rip or rip advanced. Select the source and then select the port where your thumbdrive is plugged in. Rip.

If you select Rip Advanced and have more than one optical drive on your computer, you can select more than one at a time but them I would rip to your computer and then use "Create Music Disc Projects to set up your navigation/organization.

My experience with it.

If you use rip it will rip the CD to the USB drive and put it in a folder. Mine even names the folder the name of the CD but my drive reads CD Text.

If you rip to your hard drive and use Create Music Disc Projects it will only add tracks to the USB Device (send to USB Device).

Create Music Disc Projects will not add folders to the USB Device (send to USB Device).

So you have a hodge-podge of track listings using Create Music Disc Projects unless that is what you want.
