Another "product Key Invalid" Thread

andym07

Question

I purchased Easy VHS to DVD 3 plus today. Put in the disc, began setup, program will not accept the product key. I've tried about 30 times. I found hte support suggestion of copying files from disc to HDD, which I did, and ran setup from there but same results. The product key will not validate.

I got it to validate on this website on my first try. I am using the correct format. I am getting the product key off a sticker that is on the disc sleeve which was inside of the box. There is not a typo in my entry when trying to install the software...

I've seen a couple other threads with this same problem but there has been no resolution, other than what I have already done...

Windows Vista 64-bit SP2; computer exceeds requirements, etc...

I have the same problem. Looks just like the first picture. I ordered this direct, via the website. the phone number shown takes me to corel support. option 2 for tech support is a recording telling you to come to this website. THis was a christmas gift for my son, and when I get to a person based on my order number they cant help with the product key.

Any ideas about how or who to contact? I have read numerous posts to numerous threads about product keys not working, and tried everything listed (there are no O, 0, 1, I, S or 5 in the product key so it shouldnt be a typo. Computer is up to date, tec, etc, etc.

Any good ideas would be appreciated. THank you.

When I put the product number in I get the message the software is not activated. I have registered with the website and created an account... what the hell? I called the Roxio numbers and did their chat... they are ready to sell me a product but no one can answer a support question. That's crap, and this will be my last Roxio product. So many companies don't care about support - I will make sure I post about bad customer support by Roxio everywhere I can.

This one needs to be closed, now it is just attracting the 10% who are so blinded by thier rage they can't even see how simple the solution is '

THE STORE where you bought it has to ACTIVATE it...

You have to go back to THE STORE and they will know what to do.

If you bought it from other than a Retail Store, you have to return it...

HELP!!!

Sorry for repeating the same issue, I have gone through this thread and I do not know how to go forward. Like most people on this thread, I purchased Easy VHS to DVD 3 Plus from Best Buy and I am getting "Product is not Activate". How do I go about activating this product? I have called the technical support numbers and got directed to an email address; is this my only option? Is there a phone number where I could talk to a live person from customer support? Please advice.

See Post #35 of this thread. You never know. It could help.

Absolutely NOTHING in your "test" supports that conclusion...

All you confirmed was that if you go to the On Line Registration, it and it along, fails when a valid CD Key is entered...

From there, you wrongly assumed that every user has a faulty CD or CD Key Label...

Could the CD or CD Key Label be faulty???

Possibly - but unless you are able to test each user's CD and CD Key, you cannot reach that conclusion with the limited test you did...

Suggesting that someone use a magnifying glass to accurately identify all 17 alpha numeric characters is just plain good sense. If you see an 'insult' in that, well that is just something you will just have to deal with.

Don't you recognize the Roxio Easy VHS To DVD Setup Screen!

Has nothing to do with online registration.

Where have you been?

It's not user error and I proved that with Ron Henley's key.

There is a problem with Easy VHS to DVD 3 Plus software CD Keys purchased through Best Buy, insulting the customers with "Most likely it is a user error - try a magnifying glass to read the CD label" is simply ridiculous!

A concern I have with these mee too posts is that no one ever follows up...

As far as we can tell all of these posts have been resolved.

The 'register on line' is clearly broken and there is nothing we can do about that...

It is also most unlikely that there are a bunch of bad disc out there AND a bunch that work...

Most likely it is a user error - try a magnifying glass to read the CD label.
