Roxio Pro Hd During Setup Error Attempting To Read From Source Install Databse

help! i can't run setup from the install disk! i get the following error:

i cannot install setup files off of the cd. i am logged in as administrator. i updated all firmware and applied all windows updates as suggested in your "preparing your computer to run roxio" page. i am getting the error: error arrempting to read from the source install database: D\CPDECODERPACK_GAME1X\CPDP.msi

after this message setup tries to run but i get a similar error message for a different file.

can i download the setup file anywhere?

 

i just purchased the product from newegg and have a serial key. i was so excited to start using this product but i am dead in the water.

 

running windows 7

i copied the files from the disk to my hard drive and tried to install from there but with the same result.

problem solved. persistence paid off. no need to respond.
