Component Cable Help

I have just bought a Roxio Game Capture HD pro and im having some problems. When i hook everything up i turn on my Xbox 360 and it shows up on my TV no problem but, When i go to capture some video it shows that there is no connect. iv tryed this with HDMI and it works fine however i use a headset that only works with compoent cables. How do i get it to work with compoent cables?

Do you have your Roxio set to component?.

If you had one of these you could plug in both an HDMI cable and this at the same time.

The Component adapter and an HDMI can't both be connected at the same time because the adapter covers over the HDMI slot.This adapter doesn't do this and both can be used at the same time.

I know that it works because that's how I use HDMI and my Turtle Beach headset.Connect the headset to the R/W on the adapter.

 

Again make sure that what ogdens said it set correctly.The software needs to be set to Component Input.
