Something Must Be Done!

Question

For the past few weeks now, I've been researching how to get the best quality for my videos, and why things aren't working out for me. I recently found out that my videos weren't the best quality because my profile was set to 480p instead of 720p. So what do I do? Obviously I switch it to 720p. BIG MISTAKE. Not only does it lag my videos in VideoWave and make them uneditable.....But it also lags them while I'm capturing them in the capture window. If I capture for more than about 2 minutes at a time, it will eventually make Roxio stop responding. Hell, I even uninstalled then reinstalled the program just to make sure it wasn't a glitch from when I switched my profile resolution. However, the videos that I actually DID get to capture play perfectly fine in Windows Media Player...

My computer specs:

Running on Windows 7

Intel Pentium Dual CPU T2370

1.73GHz

3GB RAM

32-bit operating system

Maybe I should sell this and get an Elgato? A very legit PVR...
