Video Editing ?

Shutterbug55

Question

Hello:

I am new to the program. I need to edit a 1 minute spot. I have one minute of video with audio. I need to fade the video at 20 seconds and still be able to hear the audio. Then for the next 30 seconds I need to insert photos while still hearing the audio track. Then I need to fade the video back in for the end. What would be quickest way to do this. The problem I am encountering is that I can't seem to seperate the audio and video on the timeline. If I split the track, I am also splitting the audio and I need it intact for the entire 60 seconds. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks

Extract the Audio in VideoWave and add it to an external audio track, like Music or Nariation...

Go the the Internal Track of the Video and mute the native audio track...

The Fade will Finish at the END of a Split and Start before that by the number of seconds you designate... Plan your transition split accordingly ;)

Since you are adding pictures after the transition, you might try deleting the video after the split and adding the pictures.

Let us know if that helps.
