Device Driver Not Being Installed

My Roxio Game Capture HD is not working because when I plug in the USB the device isn't being succesfully installed it basically says TRANSCODER NO DRIVER FOUND. Not sure what to do here ;(

its worth noting I had everything installed and it was working, but my input thing was greyed out so I figured I should reinstall everything so I uninstalled the roxiogame capture software, and the drivers from device manager.

 

I fixed my issue, but everytime I try to switch my input to component the program stops responding, and I have to ultimately close it =\.

Try this.

 

With the Roxio USB Device plugged in, right click the Roxio entry , and click uninstall.

 

Unplug the USB Device from the PC and reboot the PC.

 

When the PC is up and running place the installation disc in a drive and run repair when it's offered. When it's finished reboot the PC.

 

When the PC is up and running open device manager and plugin the Roxio USB Device and the Roxio Game Cap entry should be there.

I am having the exact same problem. I have done the above steps and nothing changes, I have tried on 3 machines. any other ideas?

Follow the instructions in post #3. Just delete that entry that you have for Transcoder.

 

When you have completed the repair it should look like this:

Like I said i my post I did everything list above. also i just went as far as restoring my pc and still same issue. I used a different cable from deice to pc, triedn numerouse ports on pc, installed software first, restarted, then plugged in and it went right to that again.. ugh this is irritating. maybe i should have splurged for a blackmagic or hauppauge

You could try this, its a little more drastic.

 

Make sure your AV & Firewall are turned off, then run the Revo Uninstaller (moderate mode)to remove the software - reboot - reinstall the software, turn on AV/Firewall & reboot, then plug in your Roxio usb unit.

ok i iwll try that and let you know. I dont have any av installed yet because of the restore and the windows Firewall is off.. I will try this now and get back to ya. thanks

Ok so i did it all exactly step by step and as soon as i plugged it in. BANG right back to transcoder.. I just dont know what else to do. its totally frustrating. thanks for your help with it though. im guessing this roxio cap is just a giant turd sell it and buy a different brand. i sent so much time trying to get this to work it should have been so easy.

You could try Roxio Support, maybe they have other user's, who have encountered the same problem.

What is the make and model # of your computer?.
