Toast Blu-Ray Disk Will Not Play On Ps3 Or Keep The Thumbnail Pics I Chose!

sdp1969

Question

Hello,

I am trying to put a series of home movies converted to DVD on set top box onto a blu-ray using Toast pro w HD add-on. My first problem was that it would not play on a PS3. I decided to try a different burning software and I was also told that I could go back to the previous version of Toast as it would more consistanly play on PS3. Does anyone know how to roll back the Toast version? Also, I went through all 98 chapters and picked out specific thumb nail pics to represent my chapter points. Then I saved the project. However, when I went back and loaded the project, the thumbnails were all changed. They were not the original pics or the pics I chose. Aggravating!!! Does anyone have any suggestions on how to roll back the Toast version, which other software I can use to burn my project, or how to keep the thumbnails I chose to stay.

Thanks,

Steven

You can have multiple versions of Toast on your Mac. Just rename the existing Toast Titanium folder before running the installer for an older version. For instance you can download Toast 11.1 (1067) from the Roxio Software Updates page or use the installer for whatever the version was when you bought Toast. If you are using Time Machine or other backup application you also probably can find an earlier version to bring forward to your current Applications folder. You can turn off the updates notification in Toast Preferences.

Apparently there is no way to save the selected thumbnail images. You can choose Save as Disc Image after making those settings which allows you to burn the disc at a later time.

I don't know about other apps for burning Blu-ray video discs. Sorry this hasn't gone well.
