after I edit video in edit video- advanced, i export as "MPEG 2 for DVD, best quality" it has video BUT NO Volume at file platback. It worked for several recordings, but then "No Volume"------what did I clicked to loose volume ? ?

Are you starting Edit Video Advanced or are you starting with Edit Video Automatically? If automatic, that strips out the audio.

What format video file did you start with? What was the source? Certain mov files will give audio problems.

Put the video int the timeline and select to show, hide tracks, select to show native track. Is the line near the center of the native audio track? There is an icon underneath the preview window. Click that. Is this what you see?

Download the free "gspot codec information appliance." Drag one of the video files you output from Video Wave to the gspot screen. What does it say about the audio codec? A screen shot would be helpful.

As an alternative, you can try "Super Easy..." here

Have you added any codec packages lately? If you don't know what that is, don't worry.

FOUND THE PROBLEM ------ IN THE PREVIEW PANEL, THE "EDIT INTERNAL TRACKS" BUTTON WAS ON (HIGHLIGHTED) AND

I WAS CLICKING THE "EXPORT AS" BUTTON TO SAVE EDITED FILE ----WRONG ----- I TURNED OFF THE EDIT INTERNAL TRACKS BUTTON AND USED THE "OUTPUT" DROPDOWN MENU AND CLICKED THE "EXPORT AS" AND IT RECORDED VIDEO AND AUDIO JUST FINE. I GUESS THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED . THANK YOU DIGITAL GURU FOR YOUR INPUT.

PS.- I DID USE "PRINTKEY" TO CAPTURE SCREEN AND PASTED INTO THE PREVIOUS PANEL, BUT IT DID NOT SHOW IN PANEL ?/?

I am glad you got it working but your explaination does not work

I put 2 clips into VideoWave, selected one of them and went to its' Internal Tracks...

From there I did an Export As ~ MPEG2 Best Quality.

The results were, the entire Project rendered to a file AND audio was present...

I don't know how yours ended up working, but I am happy that it did ;)

I was hoping you had stumbled on to something else I would like to do but that is not to be :(

Edit!!! I located the issue!

If you play the mpeg2 file using the DivX Player, there is NO Audio!

Right Click it, and choose Windows Media Player and there is sound-a-plenty ;)
