Upgrade From Creator 2011 To Nxt - Can't Edit Exiting Projects

Garrylweaver

Question

I created a slideshow using Creator 2011 and used advanced edit via videowave to add text to each photo (700 photo's). After upgrading to NXT, when I try to edit the slideshow using NXT, none of the photo's have the text attached. I put a lot of time into this particular slideshow (memorial for my father). I need to complete this project quickly. Now that I have NXT I seem to be stuck. help

Do you still have the computer with Creator 2011 on it? It is always "best practice" to finish any projects that you have started with your current version, prior to upgrading to a newer version.

I plan to uninstall NXT and reinstall 2011. Looks like I'll be stuck with 2011. The project I'm working on is something that I plan to continue to update and add to as I find old photo's from friends and family. BTW, Thanks for your service! My father passed this year. He was a WWII Vet. He had a large library of photo's from his service. The project I'm working on is taking those old photo's and creating a Memorial that documents that period of his life and will be something that I can pass along to future generations.

Great project! My father was a WWII Vet, and a POW in Germany, for a year. He passed 6 years ago.

Unless there is some reason that you really want NXT, stick with the Creator 2011. I have.

Edit: If you want to use NXT, after you finish what you have now, in Creator 2011, you can output your project, from VideoWave, to a video file, and pull that video file into NXT later, when you want to add future photos to the project.

You won't be able to edit phots, transitions, etc, in the video file, though.
