Roxio Toast 11 Titanium For Mac

I am unable to copy the MAC disk Roxio Toast 11 Titanium to use on my MAC. When going through the process to copy the disk, the programed started to verify the files, views them, then directs me to the" install large icon of the toaster (w/ disk and phone)". I begin the process to install. It takes 25 plus minutes. I get a folder with a minus sign on it. When I double click this folder, a message box says I do not have permission to open this folder.

I called Apple Care and spoke to a tech who worked with me to help load the program, but with no success. I registered the program on the Roxio website (Corel) with the serial key as this needed to be done to use the program. Help? I contacted Corel support (Roxio). They asked me to copy the disk. Still no luck. Never had a problem with this MAC (it's new).

Download the Toast 11.1 (1067) update from the Roxio software updates page and run that installer. It includes everything from the non-Pro version. Maybe that will do the trick.

I got the Pro disk and it seemed to mount on the desktop but then i got a "checksum error" warning. I can't open the disk and, as you probably already know, it is impossible to talk to anyone with tech knowledge at Roxio, so here i am.

 

I am also wondering if it is legal to not refund taxes or shipping costs. After all, you got the money for it from me.

The people writing in this forum are not from Roxio or Corel so you won't get an answer to the second part of your question. Does the disc error prevent the disc from mounting on your Mac or is it just when you try to run the Toast installer. If it is the latter you can download the Toast 11 update from Roxio's Software Updates page and install that. Then run the additional installers for the Pro-version extras from the disc. If the disc won't mount then maybe it is defective and needs to be returned to the seller for replacement.

Thanks tsantee. I agree that the disk must be defective. Frankly after reading about some of the issues people have with Toast, I may just go elsewhere for a different product. I have used Toast for years but i thought i would upgrade and i thought the Pro package looked interesting. it is a nightmare to try and contact anyone there. I guess that is normal now for some of these companies.

 

I wonder if they are going to charge me for shipping again for the new disc. That, of course, is assuming i can get a replacement. I'm getting angrier by the minute here trying to get something done on this stupid website.

I can't imagine any company charging you shipping or anything else to replace a defective product. My opinion is you don't have a tech support issue, you have a customer service issue. There should be someone addressing sales matters.

I have a defective disk and they say if i ask for a refund they will not refund tax and shipping. I am looking into this to see if that is even legal. So far, this whole transaction has seemed like a scam more than anything else. I have followed the instructions to open an account, etc. but all the web site stuff is just the same as if i didn't. I will never do business with this company again. All I wanted to do was upgrade an old product. Now i am out money and have no one to help me either get a new disk or refund ALL of my money. If you do want the Toast 11 Pro bundle of apps you can almost get there without the disc because you have the registration keys. Download the Toast 11.1 update from the Software Updates page and that covers everything except the Pro-version extras. Some of those extras can be downloaded directly from their developers. For those that can't, maybe I can help you locate them if you send me a private message. As for Toast itself, the only difference between the regular and pro version is the Blu-ray plugin which is installed separately.
