Roxio Hd Capture Device "software" Not Responding

Hey all,

 

Been at this for hours and Ive just been hitting brick walls now and theres nothing out there (That I can find)

 

Load up the software with the device connected to my Wii U and TV set to 1080p and the software keeps freezing in the preview window (after I select "Capture") Not to be mistaken with the capture button when you actually do a recording Im talking about the the menu screen that allows me to open the capture preview screen.

 

preview screen freezes as does all window - when I click it it says Not Responding followed with a loading wheel and white screen.

 

Please not the sound is not present when the preview screen freezes "this gives me a clear indication that its not working".

 

Seen this debate countless times and I have tried all available methods but no dice!

Ok now the menu is acessable but now I get is a black preview screen and the program closes when I try to access the options now.

Cant say if this is an improvement or not but this is my current issue now - I have used the CD to do a repair on the software now the capture card will not show any input - If I click the options it will automatically shut down the software as if there is a problem.

FIXED!

 

Ive figured out that you must make sure you take your time with the installation of the software. Once completed remove the dvd and insert the GCD to your USB port of choice (shouldnt matter) let the device install the drivers for around 5-10 minutes to be completely sure its installed correctly and make sure you have updated the service pack too (theres no problems with it besides my own stupidity and impatience!)

 

I know it sounds like pain and you will say it wont work but make sure your drivers are up to date and you will be uploading videos in no time. Just make sure tyhe GCD is plugged in first and then execute the capture software! Ill be uploading a video as proof that it works!

Thanks Grandpabruce - Its never likely for me to do things wrong. Many years in engineering in the oil and gas industry but computers still amaze to annoy me at times ha.
