Could Not Create The Renderer Object?

Dark785

Question

First off, I have Windows 7 and my computer is a Gateway, just to get that out of the way. If anyone needs any additional information, I'd be happy to provide it.

So I've been working on this project on Roxio Creator 11 with the "Edit Video-Advanced" feature for a little while now. It's a music video so I'm using multiple clips from quite a few different videos set to a certain song. Everything was running fine up to this morning when I went to work on it a little bit, and after I added a few clips in there it started giving me problems. Right now I can't hit play on my project and nothing happens if I try to jump to a certain point in the timeline. I can, however, double click on videos in the timeline (it brings up the "Video Trimmer") or delete them, but after I do that, a window opens that says "Could not create the renderer object. This might be caused by DirectX 9.0 not being installed or the display adaptor not fully supporting DirectX 9.0." The window gives me the option of "Details" and "Ok". If I click "Details" it just gives me the same "Could not create..." message. Also, if I try to export the video, a window pops up that says "Error. Unable to build the render graph."

Here's the thing, I have a few different video projects on Roxio, and this is the only one that is giving me problems. The others all seem to be working fine.

Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

If updating them is done with that Automatic Detect and Install, I'm pretty sure I did. A window popped up that said something about all my driver being up to date.

The dxdiag that I ran told me I have DirectX 11. As far as I know that's the latest version.

And I download msxml from here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=3988

I went with the first download option.

Unless I did something wrong, nothing has worked so far.

Ok, what I did was delete everything from the project so I had a blank timeline. Then I added a video to the blank timeline, it still didn't work. Then when I closed the project, it asked me if I wanted to save the changes I made to the project and I hit "NO" so nothing was changed. In other words I DIDN'T delete everything so I wouldn't have to start over.

And yes, I tried the outputting it like you suggested. To quote myself from a couple post back: "Is mpg2 best quality the same as MPEG-2 for DVD, best quality? Because that the closest "Video file quality" I see to the one you mentioned. I tried that, it doesn't even start outputing, it just gives me the error message I mentioned in my first post."

I also tried deleting the first clip and the music, but it made no difference.

And, lol, no wouldn't have been done yet if I restarted it. And I have tried allot of what you suggested.

Ok, so I think I found a solution for now. I copied everything from the currant project and pasted it onto another, and everything seems to be working....which I don't understand, but I'm glad it's working. Trust me, if I would've known I could that, I would've done it the second I ran into problems. Anyways, thanks for all your help. Sorry if it got a little frusterating, lol.

Again, thanks allot.

And if this turns out not to work, at least I'll have the work I've done outputted.

If your production is working now, save it once with the whatever name that you want to give it. Then, save it again, using a different name. That way, if you open the original, work on it for a bit, save it, and it messes up again, you have the other file that you can bring back in and work on, without having to start the entire project from scratch.

I don't understand. You said you deleted everything in the project and now you said that you don't want to start a new one ?

Did you do what I suggested about outputting the project? Where did it stop?

My guess is that one or more of the videos OR MUSIC tracks are corrupted or they are DRM protected.. They only way to know is by trying to output the project and see where it stops. I fit doesn't even start, it may be the first clip/audio in that project.

You are wasting more time than if you had started a new project; you would have been done by now. Probably with some imporovements.

Perhaps someone else has something to offer since you don't seem to want to try what I suggest.

Well, I didn't save the changes to it once I was done testing that, so after I closed it out, it was set back to the way it was before I deleted everything. And I don't want to start this all over again, because I've been working on it for a while now, and it would take a long time to get back to the point I was at..it would be a headache putting all the clips and transition back in the places they were on the old project.

The videos are from YouTube. The song could've came from any number of sites, but I think I ripped it from YouTube.

I've used allot of these same videos in the past.

Would deleting the corrupted file fix the project?

Instead of deleting everytthing, why didn't you just start a new project? That would have eliminated any issue with the old project.

Again, where did you get the music and video files from?

Since other projects still work, I believe that you have a corrupt file.

Deleting the DAT extension didn't work, it did make the fuzziness go away, though.

Is mpg2 best quality the same as MPEG-2 for DVD, best quality? Because that the closest "Video file quality" I see to the one you mentioned. I tried that, it doesn't even start outputing, it just gives me the error message I mentioned in my first post.

When I run dxdiag, I don't see anything in the report that looks like its a "video device driver" unless it's included in "Display Devices"? When I right click on my desktop, I don't see anything that looks like would be any help.

Ok, so I tried something else, just for sake of trying. I deleted everything from the project (video, audio, overlay, etc.), then I tried to add a video the timeline. It still wouldn't play. I double clicked it and brought up the video trimmer and I could play it on the video trimmer (like I could before), but after I closed that out a window popped up with this message: "./IPEBase.cpp(1218): ***Error NULL = pComposition.p" and it gave me the options of "Details" and "OK". When I click detail it gave me this message: "Crossgraph for audio object invalid. This may be caused by a faulty installation or a corrupt file."

I hope that helps in some way....

Go to where your projects are stored and find the one with a DAT extension and the name of the project you are working on. Delete it. It is sort of like the proxy files in that it will be rebuilt but now the preview will be clear.

In Video Wave, select to output your project to a "mpg2 best quality" file via Output/export/ when the window opens select all and then the mpg2 best quality. If there is something wrong with your project, the encoding (rendering) will stop. Note that time. Close it and then look in your project for what is going on about that time. That is where your problem is.

Note: A new dxdiag.exe will tell you the date of your video device driver or simply right click on your desktop and open the video software. It will tell you somewhere what it is. I don't have that brand so you have to look carefully to find it.

The top one here.

MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 3 (Microsoft XML Core Services)

msxml.msi 2.3 MB

http://www.microsoft...s.aspx?id=15697

C2011 installs DIRECTX_9 FEB 10TH .. You have to have it on your system or it won't work

Here is the latest DIRECTX, Version: 9.29.1974, Jun2010_redist.exe 95.6 MB.

http://www.microsoft...ls.aspx?id=8109

This is the driver you should have:

Ok, I downloaded the MSXML from the link you gave me. I also downloaded the Direct X you gave me in the link, but the dxdiag still says I have 11?

I uninstalled the AMD downloader. My internet was moving too slow to tolerate so tried uninstalling it and the internet is moving fine again. I know you said you doubted that would cause any problems, but everything seems to be back to normal ever since I got rid of it. Maybe it wasn't meshing with something else on my cpu, idk.

Also, I really want to emphasize that this is just ONE project that isn't working for me. I can edit, input, output, etc. etc. on any new project that I create. Heck, I can even use the same video files I have on the "broken" project and add them to a new project and they work on the new one.

I didn't mention this before because I didn't think it was important, but the thumbnails for the video files in the timeline of the project I'm having trouble with are all fuzzy looking. I didn't mention it before because it's happened before and had no effect on editting, outputing, and so on.

I downloaded directX 9.0c from here: http://download.cnet.com/Microsoft-DirectX-Drivers-Redistributable/3000-2121_4-10305889.html but the dxdiag is still telling me that I still have DirectX 11?

I got msxml 4 from here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=19662 When I got to add/remove programs it's telling me that I now have MSXML 4.0 SP2, so I'm assuming that worked.

How would I find that date of the driver?

Yes, the program works with any other project, but this one; and it worked with this one to up to yesterday morning. The Format is 16 Bit, 44100 Hz, Stereo. I don't know how to find out if they are DRM protected.

Just so you guys know, I'm not computer savvy really at all. I know how to use a program but I have very little knowledge, if any, of how/why it works. So you're gonna have to bear with me here.

I suggested that you download and install msxml 4. You downloaded msxml 6. I don;t know if that will work.

I suggested that you download and install DirectX 9©. DirectX 11 is not a upgrade to 9c. The program needs 9c (at least it did in the past).

What is the date of the driver you installed?

Really the only thing we haven't talked about was the project you are trying to make. Are any of the clips DRM protected? What format are the clips? If you create a new project with another video file does the program work?

Do you see the space?

Move the video over next to the Y or use a underscore.

C:/MyVideos or underscore C:/My_Videos

Try it now and see what happens?

It won't let me change that.

Also, ever since I downloaded that Automatic Detect and Install, my computer (especially the internet) has been running allot slower.....
