Roxio Hd Pro Software Wont Open

MegaMcFisty

Question

I got the hd pro software installed fine and after I reboot my laptop like it says the software wont open, when I double click the icon the windows vista loading icon appears for a split second and thats it, it wont go further than that. I un-installed it and re-installed it 3 times but it's still the same how do I fix this? The specs of my laptop are Dell Inspiron 1520 with vista home premium 32 bit sp2. Intel core2 duo @ 2.00GHz, 3.0Gb RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT.

I've been waiting over 2 weeks for this to deliver as I live in Ireland and it wont open on my laptop. The capture card itself is recognized by my laptop so I don't think there's any problems there. I just can't open the software. I've heard about just getting a white screen and green screen but I don't get anything, can anybody help with this please?

when I double click the icon

A guess, when you double click your loading two instances of the software. PC gets overloaded and nothing happens.

Reboot the PC, open task manager, now click the RGC icon once and wait.

Does it open? What shows it task manager?

I double click the icon like I would normally with any other software. I've had this laptop for 3 years and never had this problem. Cheers for the reply as I'm so frustrated with this. I'll try rebooting and opening task manager. Also if I only click the icon once it highlights it, I have to double click all icons to run it. Thanks again.

The software doesn't show up in task manager. It will not run at all, any idea what the problem could be?

Reboot the PC and turn off all running programs especially antivirus/firewall software, follow this guide.

Put the installation disc in a drive and choose repair when it's offered.

Let the repair run and when finished reboot the PC and follow the guide turning things back on.
