Recommendations For Posting To Youtube

Question

So I've been trying to post some videos to Youtube but I can never seem to get as high a quality as I see other people manage with the same thing (regular Roxio GameCap) so I'm wondering what the best file type to save as so that I can get the best quality on Youtube.

Also, reading on these forums I've run across people mentioning that it's not set to record at 720p. I think I have it set up to that, but could someone just mention which box that option is in so I can check.

Thanks.

no one wants to reply to any of these threads. there so bad...

but i think i know your problem. you need to render it in 1080, when you click export, change the thing from original quality to any of the ones that say 720 or 1080, experiment, that was very vague and im sorry in advance, lol.

I have a question for you, do you know where i can find the license agreement for the editing software so i can monitize my videos, im sure you will come across the same problem at some point with youtube wanting permission for you to use the video wave software that comes with the roxio game capture hd pro.

here is a link to my youtube channel if you want to check out the quality i got on my most recent upload, with the hd pro :)

He posted in RGC forum not RGC HD Pro forum!

Your advice is useless to him.

At least he tried. Better than everyone else here so far.

To monetize a video you first need to make sure to click on the youtube partner bar on top of the video manager. Then from the video manager click the icons on the right of the page of the people or the dollar sign on any video and that will take you to the screen to edit the options for a video. Monetization should be between basic info and advanced settings, if you don't click on the Youtube partner button first though then it won't show up.

Hope this helps. You may not be able to monetize the video you showed me because the music might be copyrighted.

Shouldn't you of posted this in his thread instead of your thread?

The exact same thing applies to the RGC because my mate has one and his videos are in 1080p obviously not legit 1080p but it says 1080p on the video and it is better than the original quality.

Because he didn't leave a link to his question. And his answer did help me out a little. This thread is pretty much just him and I helping one another anyway, all you've done is nitpick and no-one else has posted.

ellio, I'm not sure about that, it may be the music setting it off. I know it can recognize audio and tell if it's copyrighted, if it's specifically telling you that Roxio footage is unable to be monetized then I'm at a loss, I've uploaded maybe three videos from it's soft ware and they've all come out fine.

To answer the ORIGINAL question...

I have the same issue, however, when I did a quality check, I found that raw files looked the best on YouTube, however, unless you capture at the exact right moment, this probably isn't feasible for most people. The second best option is to go into videoware (The edit and share option when you open up Roxio) and click share. It transcodes and uploads the vid when done. It takes a bit longer, but the quality was best this way. As for your second question, I don't exactly understand what you're asking. Could you be a bit more clear?
