Problems Capturing Ps1 Games On Ps2 Console.

My capture setup works perfectly fine for playing PS2 games, but when I insert a PS1 game into the drive and try to play it the capture video goes black after the startup screen. I assume this is something to do with the lower refresh rate of the PS1 processor, but I can't find any way to fix this.

 

I know that changing the video standard works for the PS3, but that also requries some extra resolution option changes that are not present in the PS2 menus. Any ideas on how to get this to work?

I am not having problems with my PS2 functionality. It works fine on my PS2, the capture card fails to see video from the PS1 processor on my PS2. I assume this is because the PS1 processor uses a lower refresh rate and there are no options to change these settings on the RGC.
