sknis
Are there any newer themes? Newer than when? Are you talking about the desktop version of PhotoShow version 6? Did you click on the more styles button? Tell us more (please). By your screen name, it appears that you may be making slide shows regularly You may want to look at Creator NXT; especially the 'Edit Video -Advanced" application. It is also known as Video Wave. It is a very good and multi-functional slide show application . Take a look at some of these tutorial videos (here). They are based on an earlier version but the basic functions of that application are still the same.

mktgcreative
I also have a question about themes. I have not yet purchased Photoshow as I'm not sure if it's the right tool for my purpose. Can you tell me if there is a theme appropriate for a memorial video to be played at a funeral service? If I can literally upload as many as 400 images in a single show, I'm interested in using this product as others I have looked at like Animoto have limits around 50 images, which just won't work. Thanks in advance - I truly appreciate any advice about whether this is the right tool and if there are simple themes that could work. I am naturally under the gun here and need to figure out what I'm going to use right away.

I am naturally under the gun here and need to figure out what I'm going to use right away. Roxio no longer has that listed a product. I think it is being phased out. If you can get a desktop version, there are several that could be used such as "Memories" or something that is black or white. Don't let the music fool you, you can use any of the themes and add your music (mp3 files). Yes, You can do 400 or so. If you plan on playing the video file, you are OK; if you want to play a DVD, remember that you will be limited to about one hour for a single layer DVD. You alternative is to get something like Creator that has a slide show program - Video Wave. It is more complex and does not have themes per se. weddingmeister
So sorry I'm just now answering this but got sick before Christmas. If you'll go to one of my PhotoShows, at the bottom right there is a link to "Make a Photoshow". http://www.photoshow.com/watch/CA2Qp8uQ I hope this helps. I really like Photoshow as it is easy to use & unforgiving. Sorry this is such a long overdue answer.
sknis
I see what you mean. I'm not sure how long that will remain in place. You have to be able to get to the Roxio PhotoShow site to get to the location to make a PhotoShow and to use it. The desktop version is good for Premium membership only. People are having issues uploading any video in a slide show and the mp4 download seems to never work. I have 40 PhotoShows on the site (and downloaded to my computer). Actually they were made on my computer and uploaded to the site.
mktgcreative
Thank you for your suggestions. With little time to research different products I went ahead and used Animoto. I discovered the limit on number of photos was based on the length of the selected song. The show turned out really nice for my first attempt given the circumstances. I ended up downloading the file (nearly 200MB) to an iPad and played the show through AppleTV on a 50" TV at the service.

sknis
Animoto is a free program that will do 30 second videos as an alternative to PhotoShow, They also have a premium membership option.
