Capture Drains Color

Punyuru

Question

I play a game where color is important because of the costumes and stuff. I noticed that the coloring when captured is drained, it makes the game look boring and dull.

Can anyone be of help? I tried to adjust brightness and stuff but it doesn't really do what I'd like it to do.

Might help a little if you provided your hookup info and specifics about your system

I have only dabbled a little but I noticed on mine that (using a DVD Player for a Source) color was good with HDMI but way off with Component!

My first reaction was to dive under the desk with a flashlight and recheck the Component connections!!!

After that, I opened the Enhance Picture controls and begin sliding things around...

Brightness and Contrast work about the opposite of what you would expect ;)

Hue changes color and Saturation the intensity... (these 2 are probably where you need to be)

Also make sure your Video Card Drivers and Software are up to date! I know mine is 2 versions behind and I need to take the time to update it!!!

You cannot expect it to view the same on every device you use ~ that is why Everything has adjustment on them :D

You may want to keep a notebook of the Game and the Settings you use to save time as you go.
