Videowave 7 Preview

iancowie

Question

Managed up to recently to preview all material. Now only mwv, jpeg files.dsdm files appear in the preview window. When JPEG fies are previewed the data appears in the box, but alas no still or moving image. Have tried repair but no difference. Any other suggestions? MPEG files still are able to be dragged into the timeline frame for production preview but unavailable to edit!

Having uninstalled the programme and updating the version.......no change in preview and editable condition.

On closer scrutiny to preview in "known issues" it is mentioned to "update video drivers". I recently removed ati3 duag.dll to resolve a conflict with sun java, which stopped the crash..... but alas, when restored the file this morning, hey presto, I'm back in business! So, can I suggest you review your video driver status.

Good luck, and thanks for your moral support !

Have had a similar problem with ECDC 6 Platinum using DVD builder. Can import an mpg file into the screening room, but any attempt to preview (i.e. play) the clip results in the error message 'error starting the movie'. I have XP professional plus SP2, but am reluctant to remove SP2 as it seems to be the only way that I can get Windows Media Player vto Play DVDs.

Sorry this isnt much help - just a note from a fellow sufferer!

The easiest way to find out what you have on your computer is to download and run the Belarc Advisor which is located here: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

When you run it, it will gather information from your computer and display the results. It does not send the information to anyone.

Once you know who made the video card installed on your computer, you can go to their website and see if there are any updates available.

If updating the video card doesn't work, please list the basic information about your computer: ie. 2.2 Ghz Pentium 4, 512 MB RAM, 120 GB hard drive, DVD-RW, CD ROM....... That will help us see if there is a problem or if you need to troubleshoot further.

Also please list which Roxio program and version you're using.
