Runtime Error

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I have had my Easy Media Creator 10 working fine for 4 years until I purchased, downloaded and successfully(!) installed NXT. As soon as I restarted my computer, it showed me the runtime error window and when the software opened the Play button controls were missing from Videowave.

After absolutely wasted hour on the phone with support from Corel store, they refunded the money for upgrade and told me to delete the program, which I did.

Now, my original Easy Media Creator 10, installed from the CD, has the same issues. I lost even more functionalities, from a simple slideshow to editing. I lost my mostly used program!

I unistalled Easy Media Creator 10 and reinstalled again. No fix.

I updated the DirectX from Microsoft. No fix.

My computer has i7 processor with 12GB of RAM with all latest additions and updates.

Please, HELP!

My business productions are dead!

Alex.

EMC 10 is NOT compatible with Windows 7. It may run for a short time but it will eventually fail. No solution other than to update.

It seems that the poster did update to Windows NXT. With the two different versions on the poster's computer, I don't doubt that the poster has issues.

Note: The OP has been unable to post to this thread and therefore has pm'd me some information on his/her/computer. It included that the poster was running W7, that the poster was not using the standard Windows font and that the poster may be using a beta driver for the video card.

Uninstall bother EMC 10 and NXT from your computer using Revo Uninsatller in the Moderate Mode and make the changes in font and video driver to a known good driver.

The OP says this thread is locked which it isn't. I provided the poster with the above information (expanded) but I also suggested that his computer is screwed up and needs to be fixed.

This thread should be locked but I'll leave it open in case he gets that computer fixed.

In your post above, you suggested to update. I did.

I did everything that was suggested. Uninstall and re-install. No fix.

I have had my computer working fine since March until the NXT purchase last week.

Also, what is wrong with my topic? Why does it have to be locked?

Did you read this part of sknis post?

Son of a gun ! He was able to post so the topic wasn't locked? Perhaps he was seeing the moved arrow and thought it was locked.

Did you use Revo Uninstaller as I suggested? Did you install ONLY Creator NXT?

Read this also.

Second paragraph post # 1.

Thanks, I missed that.

No wonder why Support hung up on him 3 times. (according to a p.m.)

Since he doesn't have NXT and EMC 10 won't work, I guess this thread does really need to be closed.
