Script Error While Loading Easy Media Creator 10 Lj

Question

Hi,

I've recently restored my Sony Vaio VGN-NW20SF to factory settings. Roxio Easy Media Creator 10 LJ was an included software.

Following the restore, I attempted to use EMC 10. I was greeted with the product registration screen to being with (as per "new picture.bmp").

I then got an error message as per "new picture 2.bmp".

I continue (by clicking either "Yes" or "No", result is the same) and i receive a further error message "new picture 3.bmp".

Again, I continue (by clicking either "Yes" or "No", result is the same) and i receive a further error message "new picture 4.bmp".

Again, I continue (by clicking either "Yes" or "No", result is the same) and i receive a further error message "new picture 5.bmp".

Finally, I continue one last time (by clicking either "Yes" or "No", result is the same) and the results are as "new picture 6.bmp".

I can not close the program down, or get any further response from this.

Anyone have any ideas on how this can be rectified? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Many thanks

Merry Christmas ! :P

When you restored your computer, did you upgrade your operating system?

Unfortunately, that LJ is a Sony specified limited version of an old piece of software that is not compatible with W7 or W8. It should be OK with XP and Vista. Support for that product comes from Sony. You will have to contact them. I see that there were some updates. Did you Google for them?

Merry Christmas!

The laptop was bought with W7 Home Premium edition pre-installed. Prior to the system restore, I had no issues with Roxio.

I believe Sony tend to "limit" the upgrades based on Sony "Signed" versions of software/drivers. I'll contact Sony to see if I get a response from them...

Then you have Creator 10 LJ; an updated version of the software. It is compatible with W7 but since it is an OEM, we really don;t know what application you have and how to fix it.

It looks like the activation server may be down. Did you try it today?

You may still have to go to Sony to get a version that doesn't need all of that.

Thanks for your response.

Yes I tried it today. Quite possible that the activation server may be down.

I'll contact Sony and try and resolve it through them.

Many thanks for looking into this for me. Will post a response when I've fixed the issue, in case anyone else has the same problem.
