It'll Record My Videos, But Only About .4 Seconds Of It.

So as soon as I press capture, it says it's capturing, but the "Time Elapsed" timer never increments, the "File Size Created" and "Record Time Left" never change, and it ends up being only .4 seconds long when it saves...

 

What's wrong? Everything is correctly connected.

I think what you want to do is try a repair but make sure you do it this way...

 

Unplug the device and put it aside till later.

 

Turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc. and insert your Roxio Disc (download version - run Install)

 

Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)

 

When you reach the screen where

Repair

is offered, choose that!

 

Then turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

 

Might even have to do this a couple of times

That makes me think it has to do with what's going on when the capture button is pressed, not the device or the software.
