Bad Recording Quality

When i record recently it has been really pixelated and the words have lines coming out of them i tried asking the roxio support on Facebook but they have yet to respond my set up is component cables to the roxio and out to the tv and my laptop is a hp dv10 with a quad core processor any help on to how to fi it? I have already uninstalled and installed the software

Try it using a DVD/BD Player just to see how that captures at different settings
