Easy Vhs To Dvd Fails With Error Code 1603

I just tried to install VHS to DVD and it fails with error code 1603. It is failing when it tries to install DirectX. My PC is a Windows 7 x64 bit machine with the latest updates. I would pay for the upgrade to the latest version, but if this version will not install how do I upgrade?

Make sure you are:

1) installing the program to your system drive with your anti-virus off

2) Installing to an administrator account or set up a new on and install it to that,

3) Make sure that you do not try to install it in a compatibility mode.
