Have bought Easy VHStoDVD about 2 years ago. Couldn't get it running since I recieved no images to capture. Despite of good willing support of Roxio I stopt attempting aftyer a few months. I like to give it a retry now on a different computer since I still have about 20 VHS tapes dying. I dug up the ROXIO stuff in order to do a retry on my stronger desk top (I've tried it with a laptop then).The simple problem is: It asks for a product key and I don't know where to find it. Can somebody help me?

Look on the paper sleeve the disc comes in!

Did you register it? You may be able to find it on the Roxio web. Go to the top of this forums and select - "Support" then "Product Registration" sign in to your account. From there you should have no problems unless you forgot your account information.

 

Note: If you still have that old computer and you didn't remove the old installation, download the free "Belarc Advisor" and look in it. It MAY list your CD key information.

Guess he got it runniing because he has started a new operational thread. It would have been nice to tell us how he got the key.

I get a message, saying the product key is not activated, like it does not recognize the prodcut key number I typed in. Also, tied substituting the "O" for a zero and still no luck - what's up with that? copied the files to the harddrive, and then tried it from there - still no luck.

Is this EVD 3 you are talking about???

I have the same problem. I just bought this and watched them scan the activation bar code on the box, and I still get the error "product key is not activated". Contacted the company but got the run around by being told that I could pay a fee to talk to someone in support. I also filled out and submitted a help form, but no reply. Not very impressed the customer support. Can anyone help me with this problem?
