Roxio Hd Pro Completely Not Working/no Signal (Xbox 360)

TheChucklebeary

Question

I have the original xbox 360 (white) and I got my new roxio capture hd pro for christmas, I have everything plugged in correctly, I have checked many times.

I am using the HDMI inputs and outputs and when I do this I get no signal on the software and it doesn't even recognize anything is plugged in ( Not even on device manager ), and also when I go to the xbox 360 nothing shows up on my TV.

I spent alot of money on this and would be very greatful to anyone who could help. :)

Is the RGC USB Device pluged into a USB port on the PC?

With the RGC Device plugged in do you show a Roxio driver under sound video and game controllers in Device Manager.

Do you show a entry like I show under 'Other Devices'?

You seem to be in over your head........try to be specific....

You were asked what you see in the Device Manager and you answered a "thing" comes up in sound.

I would recommend that you get a friend/relative/co-worker who has some basic computer skills come over to help you.

Or you could contact Roxio support for further help.

Okay. Hopefully this will be seen despite that this was all discussed 5 months ago.

I'm using the XBOX 360 Elite.

Restarting the computer doesn't work.

My cables are all hooked up correctly. Have checked an illogical amount of times.

The RGC USB Device is plugged into my computer through the USB port. The light on the device is lit up, showing that its getting power from my laptop.

Under the tab "Sound, video and game controllers" the tab "Roxio GameCAP HD PRO" is listed as shown in your picture.

I do not have an entry under "Other Devices" as you do in your picture, much less have an "Other Devices" tab at all.

I'm also having the same screen that the individual posted above, 2 posts prior. When I first plugged everything in, the display box in the RGC HD PRO window was flashing blue with black bars in various places. And a red square was appearing in the middle of my TV.

After restarting the display box is remaining dark with no signal and my TV says, "Unsupported signal. Please check the device output."

I believe I've done a thorough job in answering all the questions and such listed above. Your teams help would be greatly appriciated.

On a side, not so serious note, I'm not as ignorant as the previous members here, so I'll be more compliant with your suggestions. :)

Hi tuck! ~ like your last line

In Post #5 those were examples of things that you don't want to see! The only thing in Device Manager that you should have with the RGC device plugged in, is the single entry of "Roxio GAMECAP" or "...HD PRO". - yours seems OK.

First order of business is to get a picture in your Preview window on your PC (laptop?).

You did not tell us HOW you have your Xbox connected to the RGC?

Even so, you need to Test that by using a complexly different source ~ DVD or BD Player or anything else that has the same output... Even something with a different output, component for example, would be good to test with ;)
