Lost Cd Key

I was given a new lap top computer for Christmas and was intending to install my Game Capture software onto my new laptop but i have lost my cd key and i can't load the software onto my new machine as the install requires the cd key before it will complete the installation. I still have access to my old lap top but i cant seem to locate the cd key anywhere. Can anyone help me?

Did you register it on the Roxio site? If so signin on Roxio's main page, your account and recover it.

 

If not download the Belarc Advisor here, http://www.belarc.co...e_download.html

 

It will show most software keys from software installed on that PC.

 

Write it down and put it in a safe place!

Your SOL, you could try and contact Roxio customer support and hopefully you might get a sympathetic rep.

Did you take my suggestion about the Belarc Advisor on the old laptop?

thanks for the tip unfortunately i followed your advice and downloaded the Belarc software and ran the programme and identified a cd key which seemed to fit the bill but when i have inserted the code into the space in the Roxio install process it advises that the key is not the correct key!

 

Do you have any other suggestions?
