Problem Installing Roxio Game Capture

Gamepwned1

Question

I recently received a Roxio Game Capture, and i want to record my Xbox 360. However the disc drive on my laptop is broken and cannot read discs. I have the information like the CD KEY, i just cannot download with the disc. Is there any way i can do so without the disc itself?

Are you talking about the software and/or drivers? If so, you could probably download them from Roxio's support site. Maybe. If you are able to do so, you might consider "Saving" those software and drivers files to a folder, and saving that folder. In case you need them again. Then you can open the folder and "Run" them. Now days, a lot of hardware comes with the drivers. In that case, all you would need to do is plug it in for the drivers. Are you using Vista or 7? But I'm pretty sure you would be able to download the software from the website. If you have another PC with a working drive, you might be able to rip the disc contents and transfer the software to your laptop via a thumbdrive or ext drive. If not, you may have to invest in an external DVD drive. Someone else just posted almost the same question. I just copied the response I gave him.

The hardware comes with the software which includes the drivers needed for the device. There are no downloads.

You'll need 2 things.Another computer with a working drive and a USB thumb drive.

Using the other computer copy all the files on the disk on to the thumb drive.

Then take the USB drive to your laptop, copy the files from the drive to it and run the installation.
