Connecting Through Dvi?

i have the Roxio Game capture Standard, i am trying to connect it to my monitor which has only 1 hdmi and 1 dvi port. i connect my ps3 through the hdmi though so i was wondering if i can get a component to dvi adapter and connect roxio through that will it work?

Component is an analog signal.DVI can be digital or analog.

So depending on the connection on your monitor it depends what you have to do.

 

If you try to go from Component to DVI-D then you need some kind of converter to go from analog to digital and a cable only will not do.

actually my monitor has a VGA so if i buy a vga to dvi adapter like this one

and then buy a component to dvi like this one
