Result Code = -54

After making a burn list for a project, I usually save it to disc so I can recall all the files at once. However, I am getting this error now while attempting to save the file.

 

Couldn't complete the last command because you don't have the required access permissions Result Code = -54

 

Has anyone seen this error before? I ran disk utility to repair permissions, but to avail.

Mac OS X error code -54 is a permissions error, like it says “Couldn't complete the last command ...”.

It could be that the folder that you are trying to save to, has restricted access, like “Read Only”.

You may want to do a Get Info on that folder, and change permissions to “Read & Write” for you.

 

Or try saving to the Desktop. You can move the file later.
