Roxio Game Capture - How To Make The File Size Smaller

Hi there sKILLCAMSHD,

I have recently bought the Roxio Game Capture and am content with it's operation, though the Filesize needs a bit of working on. Anyway, onto the problem at hand; after I realised that AVI takes in more MBs than DIVX and WMV type recordings, it has come to my attention that it is because AVI is more of higher quality recordings. If you haven't noticed yet, when recording in DIVX or WMV, the playback may be a little too fast forwarded making the in-game voices more high pitched. However in AVI, it doesn't happen.

I'm starting to think AVI is a more better file type as there are no errors, though in return you will get a fairly large filesize in roughly 20mins. There is no way of lowering the file size as it creates itself as of now, however this is merely a prediction considering there hasn't been a specific solution. Other than that, you'll have to put up with the fairly large files size.

On the brighter side, you're recording gameplay and might be sharing it Via Youtube and friends. If so, keep it up!

Hope this cleared out most questions.
