LoriAMB
I recently upgraded to Creator Nxt Pro after using Creator 10 Special Edition without issue for 3+ years. Vista (Service Pack 2) 32-bit. All updates (video/graphics, etc.) are done. No problems with installation. Everything works, EXCEPT Videowave - either editing video or copy and convert. I'm getting the general Windows error "VideoWave has stopped working. ...Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." I have tried a repair installation - with antivirus/firewall off - and that has not corrected the problem. I have attempted to run the program by creating a new user (which was suggested on another thread.) No luck. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. sknis
Please post the dxdiag evaluation of your computer in a reply. Instructions are here (link) Remember to attach the file; cop not copy and paste. You may have to remove both programs from your computer and reinstall NXT. Come back for more information after we look at your computer and drivers.
LoriAMB
Here is the information you requested. Also, let me clarify. I did a clean uninstall of Roxio 10 before installing Creator. Thank you so much for taking the time to help me. DxDiag.txt DxDiag.txt
sknis
Your CPU does not meet the minimum requirements for NXT. It will be very slow if it works at all. For data burning and copy, audio capture and editing: Intel® 1.6GHz Pentium 4 Processor or AMD equivalent, 1GB RAM. For video or photo editing, conversion and playback, Intel Pentium 4 2GHz processor or AMD equivalent and 2GB RAM. Multi-core processor highly recommended. How did you do the clean uninstall? LoriAMB
I'm wondering if you could help me with the issues I'm having now trying to reinstall my 2010 Special Addition. I'm getting the "missing/corrupt certificate and no permission" errors. I've tried all of the remedies I've seen on the forums -- downloaded the patch (?) fix, tried installing on a new administrator account... Thank you. sknis
I'm wondering if you could help me with the issues I'm having now trying to reinstall my 2010 Special Addition. I've tried all of the remedies I've seen on the forums -- downloaded the patch (?) fix, tried installing on a new administrator account... Thank you. Download the free trial of Revo Uninstaller Pro and use the forced uninstall on the Roxio programs you want to uninstall. That will clean up all those leftovers. Keep you anit-virus OFF and install what you want.
