Roxio Shows In Device Manager, Hdmi Light On, No Signal

Halo Diehards

Question

I'm trying to start over fresh. I can't get this thing to work. Right now I've got the editing side working, but can't capture.

All cables are set up correctly. I've tried repairs, following the instructions around here everywhere (disable from device manager, disable firewalls and AV, etc etc - -but I still don't know what "you'll have to re do the SP1.1 << what is that?). I've uninstalled and reinstalled. The Roxio HD Pro shows up in my Device Manager and my HDMI light on the unit is on.

When I open up Capture, it says No Signal in red. The LIVE STREAM and START CAPTURE button therefore are dim and unclickable.

I am at my wits end.

Sorry if this is a little blunt but you have argued with many experanced users here about doing things...

I think what you really need to do is to get someone with some computer knowledge over to your PC and let them go through everything...

I have given you everything I can and wish you well with it ;)

Okay, What I think you have to do is:

-Make sure your console is turned off.

Once you are on the software, Turn on the Cosnole,

-Then make sure you have HDMI on in the settings, not Component

Then it should work ;)

Unlesss the PC doesnt go over the requeirements

That's a slight exaggeration. The only thing I have "argued" about is you guys telling me to turn my Windows updates off, certainly no reason to stop helping someone.

There is an update to this issue. I've notice that when I click on the "Quality" slider, all of a sudden it shows a second of preview. But what's more interesting is that the Roxio hardware has the HDMI light on when I hook up the HDMI cable, but after a minute or so it switches over to "YPbPr", and then the software says I'm using "Component". I have tested my HDMI cable on two different other units and it works fine. I have also gotten another HDMI cable and this strange behavior continues.

Anyone ever heard of this before? It seems to me that my Roxio hardware is faulty.

Is there *any* way to contact Roxio without paying?
