Easy Video Copy And Convert 5 Wizard Interrupted

Whilst attempting to twice load the aforementioned topic tile software, the wizard stated: "Roxio Easy Video Copy and Convert 5 setup was interrupted. Your system has not been modified. To install this program at a later time, please run the installation again."

 

Two log files were generated. Not being a programmer, it reads like someone in customer care or technical support may be able to make sense of it. Hoping someone has an idea. I've never experienced this installing any program on any computer, ever. Would like to begin using the software I purchased.

1) Does your computer exceed the minimum requirements (here)?

 

2) Please post this information as an attachment.

 

3) Did you prepare your computer for the installation doing this?

 

4) What anti-virus are you using?

 

5) Copy the disc to a folder on your computer and try installing from there.

Ans: 1) Yes, 2) N/A, 3) No, 4) Norton, 5) Good idea, will try that next time, if it ever happens again. Apparently 3rd time was the charm. Loaded fine. Go figure? Software works fine. I was able to convert QuickTime format into MPEG4, WMV and burn to DVD. I will continue to "kick the tires" with the software. Unless something unforeseeable breaks bad, I consider the topic solved and will check the box as such. Thanks for the reply (and tips)!
