How Do I Upgrade To Vhs To Dvd 3 Plus

bwh4414

Question

Hello,

Not sure if I should post like this on this question but I have

a question on the roxio easy vhs to dvd 3 plus. I have this version but can't seem to find any

information on how to download the plus part of the program. The post at the end of this question

ask which box do you have and I have the box that show the connection cables but still I have not found

any way of downloading the software and I don't think if it tells me I have the plus version I shouldn't have

to upgrade. Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi folks,

I think I can help here. Just bought boxed set "Roxio Easy VHS to DVD3 Plus" over the counter at local retailer. In fact it isn't "plus". It's the basic programme and when you register you are able to download the "plus" part at an extra cost of £14.99 - a zip file of some 250MB. In the manual that I got with the software and "bits" it also refers to getting the "plus upgrade" at the foot of page 11.

However, despite having paid for the download, saved it (as directed) and then "run" it to complete the installation I get an error message: "RoxioEasyVHStoDVD3_FX28CXD0VE3.exe is not a valid Win32 application". So, don't hurry to download your copy. I'm waiting for a response from Customer Services on how to proceed with the matter.

Will keep you posted.

I purchased Easy VHS to DVD 3 (without the 'Plus') off the shelf, and opened before realizing that the 'Plus' is an updated version, and that my store was dumping an older version of the program. No upgrade from 3 to 3Plus is offered at the Roxio site. Telephone calls to Roxio/Corel only resulted in one hour on hold, and a friendly guy who had no idea what the difference might be, whether any upgrade is needed, or how to upgrade. Also, no patches are listed. I have Windows 7 64 bit. My pure speculation is that 3Plus was issued for compatibility with Windows 8, but I am concerned that some other bugs and fixes might have been made. Any suggestions or advice? Thank you all. (No rants please about my lack of fundamental knowledge, please).

No, both versions of EVD3 are Win8 Compatible...

The Plus version includes video enhancements like color adjustments and video stabilizing.

I gather you have not installed your EVD3?? I believe it will offer an Upgade to Plus, every time you run it...

Here is what happens with an earlier version of V2D when I open it:

The upgade link takes you HERE

You would only need the $20 download, assuming you are shrewed enough to burn yourself a copy ;)

That error means you have a corrupted downloaded filed. You need to download it again.

Hi folks,

Further to abve - just tried the Roxio site for myself. The route to the "plus" upgrade is:

Go to the top of this page - select Products.

Select All

Select Roxio Easy VHS and DVD3 Plus

Select For Home

Move to bottom right of the list and you'll find I want to: Upgrade my product or Register my product

Select Easy VHS to DVD

Details are given for the difference between VHS to DVD3 and the "plus" version, how to download and the cost.

Hope this helps.

I don't think this may apply here...

Yours is a Europian version which may differ from the versions sold in the US... HOWEVER, If the box says "PLUS" it has to have the Plus version in it :o

Now if the box says someting like 'Upgrade to Plus Version included'... that would be a different story! There are strict laws about these things in both our countries ;)

Your other problem - Not a Valid Win32 Application, is because you or more likely Windows tried to run the file in Compatibility Mode!

Right Click the file in Explorer and clear the checkmark under Compatibility. It will work now.

Thanks very much for your help, I have been using the software but have not found anywhere

on the software that it has those other features. I mean for my VHS tapes I could us a bit of those features

to hopefully make it a much better dvd. So I was hoping the Roxio Community could help me as I know stores and websites

don't like to take back or refund your money on software. Thanks again for replying and giving me your advice.

Hello,

Yes I do have a box that looks exactly like that but my dvd say the product that it's Roxio VHS to DVD 3 Plus

but I don't have the features that the booklet says that VHS to DVD 3 Plus should have like video noise reduction,

Basic and advance video stabilization and the other features the booklet say come with East VHS to DVD Plus should

have. Thanks again for any advice in advance.

How do you know you don't have those features? Did you try the software?

If you don't have those features then go back to the store where you bought it and complain.

Hello,

I have a question on the roxio easy vhs to dvd 3 plus. I have this version but can't seem to find any information on how to download the plus part of the program. The product I purchased does show the cables on the box in clear plastic so I believe I haven't bought a version that I need to pay to upgrade. I bought this a buy.com in December. I have found no information that lets me upgrade unless I pay for it and I believe the upgrade should be included in the price I paid. Thanks in advance..

Download what? Upgrade to what? You say you have the "roxio easy vhs to dvd 3 plus" version so you have everything

Does the box you have look like shown in this link
