Easy Roxio Video Capture Transfer Problems

My dad recently purchased Easy Roxio's Video Capture, when I was using the program to record everything worked great.

 

I want to know when the videos that have been recorded move to iMovie on MAC all the videos except for two out of fourteen videos actually work the way they're suppose to. Here's the list of problems I have encountered:

 

1. Out of sync audio

2. No audio although there's still video

3. The sound whistles (this could be because of an old recording and old system but I'm putting it down anyway)

 

I have experienced some video corruption but that's because it's and old system. I'm first recording everything from my parents Video 8 player first and then going into VHS however I have not been able to solve this problem.

 

I'm not very computer savvy so forgive me if I don't understand what's wrong.

If you have the Roxio Video Capture app on your Mac, check the update link to see that you have the latest version. Insert the USB stick after launching the application. Choose Medium quality to solve the audio sync problem (it is the better choice in any case). The video does not automatically go to iMovie. You have to import it in iMovie.

 

If you have the Easy VHS to DVD app then the only time it can be imported to iMovie is by clicking that option at the completion of the capture.

The Roxio website said the latest version is 1.0.5. On my Mac, I have "Roxio Video Capture version 2.0.1 (134)". When I tried to do check for software update on my Mac, Roxio software said that I have the latest one. So which one is the real latest one? 1.0.5 or 2.0.1 ?

 

I have similar audio skipping issue like the original poster LizzMi... curious if going from quality high to quality medium will solve the audio problem.

i've used both applications with no success I've gotten the audio perfectly synced in the beginning of the capture then have it fall out of sync ive used qt sync and it does not help because if i fix the part that is out of sync the beginning is then out of sync so i just can't win this seems like the most useless software I've ever used is there any third party software i can use with this capture device that will actual work 100% to capture the video and also have it synced with the video

 

considering trying to capture the video and audio separately if even possible still looking for a solution tho i have captured this way to many times and i've also tried the pause and then play trick seemed to work for one of the videos but not the others

I haven't had any audio sync issues with Roxio Video Capture recording at medium quality. Make sure the computer isn't busy with other things during capture. I'm sorry but I don't have any other solution. There are no other apps that work with the Roxio capture device.
