Neel Parikh
Hi everyone. I just purchased my capture card, and it's really easy to setup, and everything. I use my PC and Xbox on the same monitor. My setup: DVI to HDMI (output from monitor to capture card) HDMI to HDMI (input from xbox to capture card) My monitor is http://h10010.www1.h...3205.html?dnr=1 When I connect everything, turn on xbox, etc. I see the xbox in the game capture software in PC, but as soon as I change the source to DVI on my monitor to play XBOX, it shows "No signal". It works fine when the capture card was not connected. So, please everyone help me out. Thanks. **UPDATE**: My cable is DVI-I, not DVI-D.
Jim_Hardin
Of course it depend on what your Monitor requires not what you have... I used an HDMI to DVI-D adapter and it works great on my HP Monitors.
Neel Parikh
Well, what's a solution then? And can you link me to the adapter you have?

Jim_Hardin
I looked at your link ~ that is a VGA monitor and it is not going to work unless you add a $50 converter In this pic of mine, DIV-D on the left VGA on the right (blue): VGA is Analogue whereas HDMI & DVI are both Digital. You cannot simply wire up an adapter, it requires electronic conversion of the signals.
Neel Parikh
What kind of converter do I need? Can you link me to one.

Neel Parikh
This is seriously one of the worst "support" communities ever. If I could get someday to help me out, why in the freaking world would I even waste my time making an account, and posting on this forum?
ogdens
You were given the answer you need in post #7. You need a converter. The monitor you have has a VGA input (analog), and the Roxio has a HDMI output (Digital)....hence the converter.
Question
Neel Parikh
Hi everyone.
I just purchased my capture card, and it's really easy to setup, and everything. I use my PC and Xbox on the same monitor.
My setup:
DVI to HDMI (output from monitor to capture card)
HDMI to HDMI (input from xbox to capture card)
My monitor is http://h10010.www1.h...3205.html?dnr=1
When I connect everything, turn on xbox, etc. I see the xbox in the game capture software in PC, but as soon as I change the source to DVI on my monitor to play XBOX, it shows "No signal". It works fine when the capture card was not connected.
So, please everyone help me out.
Thanks.
