No Signal/very Pixelated Capture

Question

I got my Roxio hd pro about a hour ago and It works fine on my tv, but when i start the software it says no signal

 

I have read a few of these forums and people want to know specs to see if its compatible,

Quad Core FX 4.20Ghz

4GB ram DDR3

ati 5450

500GB harddrive

I have no interest in trying to guess - explain your problem and your system!

 

Does Roxio show in your Device Manager?

 

I guess you really mean install rather than uninstall?

To be honest, it looks like a faulty unit to me. Before you give up, I would try re-installing, try different USB ports, and try using component cables instead of HDMI. If it still does the same things after trying what I stated, then try solving any driver conflicts, re-installing Directx, installing the latest version of Directx and make sure your drivers for your GPU etc. are up to date. Let me know whats up when you've tried.
