No Signal To My Tv

Trippytrip

Question

I recently got the Roxio Game Capture HD pro, and I was very excited to get started. I watched the tutorials of many Youtube users as well as the Roxio channel itself, but I'm still having issues. Long story short, when I go to record, I can see the preview in the computer software, but I'm not getting anything on my tv screen. Occasionally the "No Input" (Picture 5 through imgur link below) goes away for a few seconds, but it always comes back. That tells me that its trying to work, but something is stopping it. By the way, I'm using an Xbox 360 with HDMI cables. I've read through the forum and saw people with similar issues resolved by switching HDMI inputs, but I only have one on my TV. Any help would be appreciated.

I've included a gallery of pictures for anyone who'd like to help :

Your posts are all still in the forums. Are you talking about these other 2/:

A 3rd post is separate from the 2 in that link.

I had the post that I'm looking for bookmarked, but when I tried to go to it I couldn't find it. Also, when I looked, my post were separated from their original posting areas. Anyway, could you help me with my problem?

They are a little fuzzy but...

Note the lighter colored HDMI connected to the OUTPUT of the RGC:

Whereas the TV input HDMI is the black HDMI

This part is correct:

But if I followed this, and it could be a picture problem, how are you getting a signal to your laptop?

It does strike me that since it is a Laptop AND the RCG requires Power for the Pass Through to work, your lap may not be feeding it enough to work

Its the shadow that's making the cable in the back of the TV seem darker, Its definitely the correct cable. Notice the girth of the cable. One of on the thick side and the other is rather thin.

Hi Trippytrip,

This product is very picky. Make sure you are running hardware that exceeds the minimum specifications.

Use the MSCONFIG utility and turn off all startup services, and reboot.

If the issue still happens, install the device and software on another computer that meets/exceeds the minimum specifications.

After testing that, if the issue is still present - I think you might need to look at trying different cables (try to rule out all cables....). If the issue still happens, you might want to consider hardware failure on Roxio's part.

If you are within the 30 days of purchasing the unit directly from Roxio - request a refund. Once your refund has been processed, proceed to purchased a new unit. (highly unlikely they will ask you to ship the old unit back).

Now, if you purchased the unit from a store, take it back and ask for a replacement. If they refuse, demand your money back. If they don't budge, talk to a manager and kick up a storm. Heck, even ask for an in-store credit to ease the manager.

I hope this info helps. It's pretty sad that some customers have to experience this stuff.

Thanks for the help. Turns out my computer isn't good enough to run this properly. I was supposed to be getting a new computer soon anyway, so I'll try again then.
