Converting Avi To Ipad - Files Rejected By Itunes

Dave22

Question

I have 4 .avi files and an first-gen iPad. I dropped the files into "convert" and selected "iPad" as the conversion format. iTunes will not accept the resulting mp4 files ("... cannot be played on this iPad").

With the conversion presets, there really shouldn't be any room for error. Any suggestions? Yes, the iPad was updated about a week ago.

No expanded settings. I used whatever selecting 'iPad' defaults to.

I'm using the 'copy & convert' program within Creator 2012 (the forum that we're in).

Thanks.

But what were the expanded settings you used???

Which program in the Suite of 40 was this

The Roxio program works as indicated by an earlier poster.

According to Apple official website, iTunes only works with QuickTime and MPEG-4 Movie files that end in ".mov", ".m4v", or ".mp4" and are playable in QuickTime Player. Therefore, if you try to import .avi movie to iTunes (including import AVI to iTunes 11) for syncing, it will end in fail in importing AVI video to iTunes let alone transfer this AVI file to iPad, iPhone, iPod.

In order to successfully import AVI files to ITunes, we have to convert this AVI video to iTunes compatible video format like MP4. ************** [name and link deleted] is just the right AVI to iTunes conversion software. It can easily convert AVI video file to iTunes supported MP4 format for transfer AVI to iPad, iPhone, iPod, Apple TV and more. This powerful AVI to iTunes Converter supports to convert and import AVI to any version of iTunes like import AVI to the new iTunes 11, AVI to iTunes 10.7.

NEWWIKSTROMKAREN,

The message in bold just before your post warned the previous poster that advertising another supplier's commercial program is not allowed on these forums.

Either you were so careless that you didn't bother to read that warning, or you defied it. Do not do that again. You will not receive another warning.
