Suitable Drive Was Not Detected?

I have loaded Roxio MyDVD Video Lab 10. I created a slideshow, followed all the steps, when I go to "Burn" the check box in the top left corner does not allow me to check it and i get a resulting error message as follows and as attached.

 

 

A suitable drive was not detected. Please attach a drive adn try again.

 

 

Question: How do I attach a drive?

Do you have DVD writer in your system? Is it recognized by Windows?

Sorry yes, I should have noted that. And I have tested it and it does work, through windows. I am not very techy so speak eslowly please......thanks
