When I use Roxio Video Copy & Convert and I click on the Web Video I get a message telling me to launch your browser to start viewing and downloading web video. I don't know what this means and there is no explanation, My Explorer 10 is open.

I also get a message that says please install the latest Flash Player from Adobe to use this feature. I have all the latest updates. i have Windows 8 and it tells me that flash player Adobe is updated.

I have tried the help files but they are written for computer geeks so I have no clue what they are talking about. The tutorials are for 3D stuff and I don't want 3D stuff. Can anyone help me, I would appreciate it.

We are users like you and do not have any pull with Roxio/Corel. If you bought this program just for capturing web video, you didn't take time to look for something else that would work. and just give you that functionality.

sknis, I hear ya!!!, Thank goodness I did not buy it for this, but it would

have been a nice way to do it... ( as shown in the video..LOL) to pull vids

from the web, We do conversions of the video files thru Real Player, then we

just copy files to the converter. Always used it this way, until we watched

the sales video that showed the web video option... Man that would be

nice,,,LOL. Thank goodness we have other ways to do it. I tried hard to get

a hold of someone at roxio, but no luck, but at least I did fund a post here

that showed me it was not just me, So I am some what at ease now...LOL.

will this work on my Roxio NXT???? can I download and this not hurt my program?? thank you.

I doubt very much that a patch for a 4 year old program will work on NXT. All you might do is screw up your system. On top of that the patch is propably not even available anymore.

No it's available for C2010 and trying to install it on Nxt it would probably tell you your trying to install it on the wrong product!

 

There is nothing easy dealing with Real Player proprietary formats.

 

What I use and works every time Fire Fox add on extension DownloadHelper 4.9.13 here, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/

Most people have found out that that function does not work for them; there seems to be no fix in sight. There are other ways to download videos as long as they are not protected. Google for them. Sorry

The reply you got totally sucks and what a cop out. I launched this program and all a got was an advert posted on Utube and no way to remove it. Roxio have not got this right and just ignoring it is very poor cutomer service and in my view flase advertising.

Can not capture web video from YouTube

 

Issue: When trying to capture web video from YouTube, the video does not show up in the Web Video window for Video Copy and Convert in Creator 2011/2012/NXT, or Media Browser in Toast 11.

 

Resolution: The workaround provided below should resolve the issue in most cases but does not guarantee resolution for all cases.

 

Pause the video at the beginning, then change the quality of the video from the default setting to any other setting (ex. 360p to 480p). Start playing the video again. The video should now show up in the Web Video window/Media Browser.

I am in the same boat here, get the same response as Diana. All this does for me is make me feel good it is not only me. No fixes in site for this also!!! aaaargh! I wonder what other issue will come out when I start to dig deeper. If anyone ever comes up with a fix for this PLEASE give me a shout. Only other option we have here is use the real player downloader and save the downloaded files in the real player library, then pull the files from there, This works when Dragging the files into the convert section, But I sure would like the convenience of web downloding like they show in their Video,,, shame on you Roxio.... Can not find any contact number as well for any human interaction.
