I am a Creator user, but would like to get Creator NXT Pro. My friend and I both would like to get a copy but we would like to know if there are any places that teach users how to use it?

Not that I know of. Roxio of course has quite a few tutorials but if you have been using Creator then nothing much has changed. What version do you now have or have you used?

I'm using Creator 2012. However, I'm a very basic user. I managed to put together a DVD of my last trip to Europe but it was a lot of trial and error. There are a lot of things it can do that I just don't know how to use. I was hoping the makers had classes somewhere or something. I would love to become more proficient since my granddaughter is turning 2 and the DVD I did for her first year of life was pretty basic.

Thanks for taking the time to answer. If you ever hear of a class, let me know.

I don't know of any classes but karri (another user/guru) put together a very good series of videos using Video Wave (Edit Video -Advanced). She did the tutorials using images and an earlier version. So far, except for a few things like taking out video shaking (which is simple) and a few other things, these are very good. She also has some on the Photo editing program. They are here. I have a few using the same application and using Create DVD; those are here.

Don't forget the learning Center at the bottom of the Home and You Tube has a lot of good tutorials.

In other posts there are various links to tutorials , etc. I would just like to add that if you are a just a basic user of C2012 then there is really no need to upgrade to NXT since there are no major changes/updates in the new version.

Thanks to all of you kind folks for taking the time to help. I will pursue the tutorials you all suggested and see if I can get past being a basic user. It seems if I can just learn how to use all the power my Creater 2012 has to offer, I'll be flying high.

One thing to learn at the beginning is to start out small with simple project until you become familiar with some of the basic features. Too often we get users who start out with a full fledged project (often under a deadline) and box themselves into a corner, become frustrated and give up. Video production is not "quick and easy" but takes some effort and lots of time to create a good result.

Like Walt suggested, try it on small projects and break it down into steps the first couple of times, like they do in the tutorials. And if you get stuck, there's usually someone always on here to help out :)
