I have a laptop with 1.8ghz and u say it MAY give issues all day. But how are ppl using pc's with windows xp and it works. My laptop has never ran into audio video issues with pc vames like black ops mine craft and such.

XP has nothing to do with the speed of your CPU. A laptop with 1,8Ghz is not good enough for capturing

i have installed the software correct, it opens fine to the main screen ( capture or edit screen ), it open to either screen (capture or edit) fast as anyone else's did on their youtube video that did not have any issue's, but no matter what resoulution i choose ( 480p,720p,1080i) i get this rainbow video distortion throught the video. heres is the vid i recorded of my issue:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlXNIPQsQjw would not let me post video sorry.

PLEASE REWIND THE FIRST 10SECONDS OF VID TO SEE EXACTLY WHAT I AM SHOWING before i swipe my finger across the screen

oh it did well yea please help someone. i have taken my laptop over to bestbuy geek squad and got their approval that it does meet roxio's pc requirements. also.

but again:

acer aspire 5532

amd athlon 2

ati redeon hd3200

upto 1408 hyper memory

3gb memory

68 gb hdd available out of 160gb hdd stock

resolution set to 13xx x 763 ( highest choice anything lower says it doesnt meet requirements )

update installed via help menu ( although i read about a service pack 1.1 that fixes the issues similar to mine but the link is dead)

drivers installed properly and working ( tested with other programs like xsplit and it shows roxio hd pro in sources list but still does the same rainbow laggy , audio goes in and out type of thing in the video. )

im on ps3 and i have component input ( sony component ) & hdmi output

display settings in ps3 are set to component>standard,480p,720p,1080i>finish and set audio>select audio input connector>done

( AND SHOW'S VERY VERY CLEAR IN THE SPOTS THAT ARENT RAINBOW EFFECTED.)

ive done my homework but i have now crashed and burned and need some assistance please. any random ideas, tips, hints, previous experiences. post em here.

It's not listed on either Game Capture but every other Roxio product has it as a system requirement.

1024x768 DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics card with at least 16-bit color setting, sound card, DVD-ROM drive.

If you told the software to check for updates when you installed it your running SP1. If not and you use the updater within the software you get SP1 that way.

Thanks for your response but i do have sp1 installed but i was reading a post about service pack 1.1 and its fix seem to be what i need. But the link to download is dead. Mods have been notified but i dont kno why there is not a new one

There is nothing showing what you have installed and the build number is the same if SP's are installed or not. All you can go by is the in software updater.

I just found ALL OF THE POSTINGS you have made all over the board with the same question!

It does not look like your Geek Squad bothered to read the requirements <_<

Your laptop is well below spec and all the wishing in the world or finding people that don't know what ther are talking about is going to make it work

@guru it does show in update screen i am current. But i will find the forum post that i was talking about and post as proof that "roxio company " made a post about sp1.1 and that it did not fix anything major jus a few issue with 720p & higher resolutions. Thanks again guru.
