No Signal (Red) & Transcoder (Caution Sign) Help! Ps3

DjTechnics

Question

Just got my Roxio HD Capture in the mail today. Installed the software. And I get a no singal in red. I also get a caution sign in my TRANSCODER device driver. And there is NO Roxio device in my "sound video and game controllers"

Here is my setup:

Component from PS3 to Roxio HD Pro.

Gold USB wire from Roxio to computer fast USB bus. (Also tried ALL USB ports)

Then Component from Roxio to my HDTV.

I get a singal to my TV but not to my software. What could be the problem?

Things I have tried:

1) Uninstalling the software with Revo Uninstaller and re installing the software.

2) Tried installing without the update and with the update.

3) Changed out the gold USB cord.

4) My component was also bought today and it is the Sony Official Component cable.

5) Uninstalling he device driver and plugging the gold USB back in but I still get the TRANSCODER in "other devices"

All these yiled the same results "No Signal" (RED)

Computer Specs:

8GB Ram

Windows 8

i5 Processor

1T of HDD Space

Some pics below. Any help please?

Unless specified in the Instructions, NEVER plug in a USB device until you have the software installed

Unplug the RGC and put it aside for later!

Now turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

Now insert your Roxio Disc (download version - run Install)

Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)

When you reach the screen where
Repair
is offered, choose that!

When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

That shoudl do the trick ;)

Thanks for the reply Jim!

I did everything instructed above but im still getting the same issue :(. The ONLY difference now is that my "no signal" is now green instead or red. I also NEVER have HDMI or YPbPr lit up on my device. Im going to try again and see if this fixes the issue. Would there be any way to manually install the device drivers?

I doubt you would even see that if the drivers were not installed ;)

Easy check - with the device unplugged, Look in Device Manager. Now plug it in and look for the change!

should look like this:

Assuming it does, TRY a different source like a DVD or BD Player! (anything that will give you HDMI or Component)
